Headshots, and Branding

I hear this all the time: "I haven't had a decent photo taken of me in over 10 years!"

Let me help. Schedule your easy headshot shoot today.

What Makes me Different

* I got my start as a landscape photographer and I firmly believe that the background in any photo is just as important as the subject. I take great care in finding magical backgrounds.

* I will have most shoots edited and back to you for download within 7-12 days

* If it rains on our booked day, you can apply your deposit to another day at no additional cost.

* My sessions are super chill and laid back, and dare I say, FUN.

* I will take charge of posing and tell you want to do and how to look good. I'll show you the back of my camera so you can see how they are turning out. You will even learn tips and tricks to use for every day photos with your phone!

* Have body insecurity? No problem! I know all the tricks. Don't feel bad at ALL about letting me know specific insecurities beforehand and I can work some posing magic!

* I pride myself on exceptional customer service, before during, and after our session. Want to text me photos of your outfits and ask my opinion? I'm here for it!

* I have two distinct edited styles (not filters; they are individually edited by hand), and clients get to choose: Some people prefer my modern look which is more editorial. Others prefer classic. More on my two styles here

* Your final images include fine portrait editing for stray hairs, double chins, acne, and a slew of other things if you wish.

Location

To know what openings I have available, I first need to know what location you want to use. Do you want classic Gig Harbor maritime looks? Skansie Park is amazing in the morning. Want rolling golden fields and woodsy looks? Sehmel park 90 minutes hours before sunset is my favorite. Kopachuck and the woods of Sehmel Parkare my fav for ferns, forest, beach and driftwood. Tacoma's Bridge of Glass has a modern edge. I created my blog just to help clients choose. Each location has pros/cons and examples I have taken. Be sure to click on "older posts" to see them all.

The Process:

Portrait sessions are a little different since there is a proof album step involved, and fine portrait editing is included in the cost. Here's how it works:

After setting up your session, I will be in close contact the night before about meeting place and weather. Wind can be horrible for hair, so I will be watching forecasts like a hawk.

At your session, I will take a series of photos of you with different angles of your face, and then I will show you so we know which angle of your face you like best. Then we will walk from place to place and I will teach you how to pose, and different options for what to do with those darn hands! I will be showing you the shots on my camera every few minutes so you can see how they are looking and how you like your expression and hair. People tell me all the time that they hate having their photo taken, show up SO nervous, and by then end they say that they actually had fun!

Within a few days of your shoot, you will receive a style preview gallery of a few shots side by side to choose your edited style (classic or modern), and then I will edit up all the rest for light and artistic yumminess.

About a week later, I will send you a full proof gallery in the style you chose. You will then choose your allotted # of photos from the that album (depending on the package), and can easily purchase more, or the entire gallery at a deep discount. I will then spruce up the final edits (let me know what you want fixed up, i.e. acne, glasses glare) and have them returned to you to download within 4-6 days. The Entire process from clicking to downloading usually takes 9-12 days, depending on how fast you make your proof selections.

unnamed - 2024-07-24T122723.739Double Chin before and After

Double chins are the bane of everyone's existence, am I right? I recently got software that does an amazing job deleting them. Here is the full list of what I can modify

* double chins

* face slimming

* acne

* backlit and stray hairs

* darken in a thinning hair part-line

* skin smoothing (I can make it look like glowing porcelain)

* teeth whitening

* making the eyes pop

* glasses glare

* removing grey hairs off a dark-haired person

* dark circles and eye bags

* wrinkle diminishing on forehead, neck and face

* tasteful torso shrinking (i.e. slight 5-7 lb weight loss)

* arm shrinking

Things I cannot fix: extreme weight loss, squinting, head swapping from one photo to another.
