Newborn and babies
I know first hand: those first few weeks and months go by in a blur! Ahh sleep deprivation and mixed with pure joy. So fleeting and beautiful. I don't have a studio, but I love traveling to clients' homes to capture all the cozy snuggles and love.
In-home and outdoor sessions:
45 minutes minutes and 15 artfully edited images for digital download from an online album, chosen from a fully edited gallery: $550 plus tax (Gig Harbor, University Place, and North Tacoma only or a travel fee will apply). Additional images can easily be purchased right from your gallery for $15 each, or you can buy the whole album (with 40-80 images) for a discounted price of $135-175. You will also receive a preview album to choose your edited style before I edit them all. Want a little extra time to account for a wider variety of shots and 2 outfits for baby? 60 minute sessions are $700 with 20 edited images.

The fine print: I do not swaddle babies and pose them with props (many photographers are professionally accredited to do this and that is why newborn photos can cost so much), but you are welcome to dress pose your baby however you want, and I can make artful suggestions.
In-home lighting
I prefer to use natural light, whenever possible. This means we will turn off over head lights which cast unflattering shadows on the face, and make skin tones funky. I ask that clients choose at least two spots to completely clear of clutter. Ideally, the living room couch, the nursery, and the family bed. If your natural light is too dim, we can take tons of photos in front of a well-lit window.
Fine Portrait Retouching
Double chins and dark circles/eye bags are the bane of every new mama's existence, am I right? I recently got software that does an amazing job deleting them. I can fix up every double chin in your gallery so you never have to see it for an added cost of $75 for your whole gallery. Or I can edit them al a carte after you receive your gallery for $15 each.
Other things I can fix (the $15 covers any and all of the following in one price): smoothing baby's skin, acne on all subjects, skin smoothing, teeth whitening, removing grey hairs off a dark-haired person, dark circles, wrinkles, tasteful torso shrinking (i.e. slight 5-7 lb weight loss), arm shrinking, stray backlit hairs. Things I cannot fix: extreme weight loss, squinting, head swapping from one photo to another.
Once you download your photos, let me know the file numbers of the ones you want retouched, and I will make a different gallery to send to you to download them when they are done.
Booking:
To find out what dates I have available, contact me to set a date, or a range of dates if you aren't sure when baby will be here. I can be flexible! I will then set up a booking page to pay a $50 retainer. If you have an outdoor shoot, and the weather is bad on our chosen day, we can reschedule at no additional cost.
Within 7-9 days, you will receive your album with download instructions via email, and you are free to print your photos anywhere you like.
